The coffees produced in this region can be divided into three main categories.

Garden Coffee

Coffee from trees planted around a homestead. Man-agement of shade trees is re-quired, The bulk of Ethiopia’s is from this type of coffee.

Plantation Coffee

These coffees come from trees grown on large farms. More regular agricultural practic-es are used, such as pruning, mulching and the selection of disease-resistant varieties.
